It was served with mayo based coleslaw in the sandwich. The spice level was a little weak, but I guess you if you are trying to appeal to a large crowd that is somewhat excusable. I think that Nashville Hot chicken needs a bone in it, and therefore really doesn’t work in a sandwich. It was made with a boneless, skinless, chicken breast which just seems wrong for Nashville hot chicken. The first one was a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cups buttermilk, 3 large eggs, and 1 Tbsp hot sauce. Place chicken in a large bowl with 1 Tbsp Kosher salt and 1 tsp black pepper, then cover with plastic wrap and let sit for 2 hours. Not bad, but they just didn’t live up to their potential. Pat chicken thighs dry with a paper towel, then cut into thick strips.
